I met Petra a little over three years ago when I captured her Maternity and Newborn photos for her firstborn Athena. Fast forward to 2021 and she was expecting another baby girl. This time she really wanted to capture her birth story as well. Bub was a little over a week past her due date and with level restrictions announced throughout the country it was a little touch and go, but as planned she made her entrance into the world with a beautiful home birth. I'm so pleased that it all worked out, and that I was able to be there to capture this journey for them. Athena is now a proud big sister and completely doting over the new baby in the family.

I met this incredible couple a little over two years ago. I had the privilege of capturing their journey into becoming a family. The birth of their firstborn was a moment in my life that I will remember and cherish forever! Standing by their side for almost 24hours during their labor, I got to know Jennifer's parents as they eagerly awaited the arrival of their grandchild. We spent many hours between the family room and the delivery room...we even sat down and had dinner together in the hospital cafeteria. They had travelled from across the world to be there for the big moment. Having a hospital birth wasn't the plan, Jennifer had intended a waterbirth at home, but this was not to be.
Fast forward two years and there I was by their side again, this time no family in the room, just her loving husband, and a livestream for all of their family to witness the miracle unfold.
This labor was certainly a lot quicker, and Jennifer did get her dream of having her homebirth, although not completely as planned... the delivery was very scary for us all, but with the professional hands of the midwives and doula present Jennifer delivered a beautiful baby girl...Alanna.
What an honor it has been to be part of this families journey, not once but twice!
Welcoming their baby girls into the world has been such a miracle, especially with both being IVF babies.
