Their Story

I met Jordan and Jason a year ago when they came to the studio to capture their newborn baby girl....a few months later and they were ready to tie the knot.

It was such a privilege to be asked to be their photographer on their special day.

Their wedding was scheduled for April this year, but Covid had other plans which meant that New Zealand went into lockdown. All large gatherings during this time were cancelled and so the wedding was put on hold. We were one of the lucky one's to eliminate Covid in New Zealand and it was only a few months before Jordan could start planning her wedding all over again!

Their wedding venue had changed to the most beautiful venue here in Wellington by the name of Ohariu Farm. Ohariu Farm boasts a luxurious venue with a stunning backdrop of New Zealand countryside and made the perfect setting for their wedding day.

Getting Ready

Before we travelled out to the Wedding Venue I popped round to Jordan's mums house where the girls were getting ready. Because of the Covid pandemic one of Jordan's bridesmaids was not going to make it to the wedding, but Jordan was met with the most amazing surprise as she walked through the door and made it in time for the wedding. This brought her to tears and was such a happy moment that i'm so glad I was there to capture.

The Ceremony

Due to strong winds the ceremony was shifted to the verandah where guests could sit inside and look out towards the couple as the said their vows. The backdrop was just breathtaking!

Bridal Party

This is by far my most favorite part of a wedding.

We drove out to the most beautiful shed nearby the wedding venue where we got a chance to be creative.

After taking some awesome portraits we headed up the mountain to capture some the awesome views during golden hour (this is the time where the light is at it's best just before sunset).

A special thank you to the bride and groom for having me be part of their special day.
